Our Sweet Sister is 50!

Us three sister from Neerlandia flew to Abbotsford to celebrate our little sisters' 50th birthday.  It took us a whole day to get there by plane, but we sure had fun!!!  Here, our sister Wilma is still smiling about our trip!!!!
Wilma giving one of the puppies the rest of her coffee, while the other greedily looks on.  We are very thankful to our Heavenly Father that he granted us the opportunity to be together as sisters and that He granted our little sister health and strength for the past 50 years and we pray together with her family that he will guide her in the years to come!  We has such a wonderful time together!

Caden's Birthday and Do I Dare Say "Winter"

Winter has arrived - along with the Bluejays.  It is a glorious blanket from God!
Stunning scenery - Snow is as beautiful as the message in Isaiah 1:18 - "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be white as snow!"  What a comfort!
Despite the cold - we have now lit our fireplace for the first time - comfortingly warm - so proud of my man for a beautiful job!

Leanna's HUGE smile - always there!
As usual, put the birthday pictures on backwards - how typical!  Anyway, Opa gave Caden a tiny present first - a tiny plastic giraffe which he thanked Opa for, so sweet - Caden said "I like other things too!"  So Opa gave him his first BB gun and he was so thrilled,  the pictures say it all!  And the orange hunting toque was from his mom - so he is all set to go hunting with Opa or Dad.  Now for the target practice!  I'm sure he will remind Dad about that!!!!!

Addition to Previous Post

And..........while on our vacation with Roelie and Arjan - we went to visit Lynden, Washington and looked up some wonderful folks and had such a nice visit with Raymond and Ranelle and Greg and Leanna and even Mandie from South Africa with all their kiddies.  Thanks once again for having us, now your blogs make more sense to us.  And thanks Mr. Faber, for the sprinkler, now I can't wait for spring to try it out!!!!
The pictures on the blog of the raft in the water are actually the BBS Stucco crew, who went on a 2 day cruise  (haha, slept under the stars, so not and 5 star cruise) on the Athabasca River, and actually some even stole a dip in the cold water.  Great relaxing guys!

Random Pictures

Over the course of the end of summer and fall, it seemed that blogging was just out of the picture - I was being kindof a lazy bum, but it seemed as if there was always an excuse not to blog.  So today, I decided to stay home to add some pictures of what we have been doing.  Still a few from the parade this summer, the two little boys are Tracy and Paul's - they were all so adorable in their outfits. Frieda and Heres and Anna were out for the occasion as well, and it was Heres' birthday, so of course the most boisterous of the crowd sand the loudest, was so wonderful to have them out for the weekend. Had lots of barbeques at our house as well.  Loads of fun for all.  My sister Mary came out with Amanda and Josh, had a great time with them, and another reason for a barbeque.  Roelie and Arjan also came for a vacation, thanks so much for the wonderful time we had with you.  Even went to the mall - where they had their Western picture taken,  isn't it gorgeous?  Went on a little holiday with them as well, to Coaldale for the weekend and then thru the Crowsnest pass and on to Osoyos and across the border and into America, where the mountains were magnificent as well and onto Cloverdale for the wedding of Steve and Kathleen and a visit with Morris and Mary (thanks a billion, was great).  We have so very much to be thankful for.  And then there are the glorious sunsets that we receive from our Father above even though we are so undeserving, we receive so much!!!!

Tracy and the boys and the Neerlandia Centennial Dressup

Tracy with her 5 boys were out for a week and we had such a great time together - here they are picking weeds with Oma - it was weed city in the garden, we have been having so much rain, we can hardly get into the garden, but the weeds keep growing - rain or shine.  We have had such a great garden so far!  Seth had to stuff his weeds into a little carrier.  And it was sooooo hot as well, 31 degrees, almost unheard of for us.
 Isaiah figured he'd had enough!
Sitting around the fire on Sunday evening, Paul came out for the 2 weekends.
Isaiah trying on his wooden shoes - not too sure about them, kinda wierd.
Little Jesse having a good laugh with Opa, something sure was funny!
His very famous smile - isn't he gorgeous?  Such a friendly baby and hardly ever cried, even though he was teething!
All set for the parade except for the wooden shoes, they put them on at the last minute.  They were all Ot en Siens and so very excited.  We had such a great 100 year Neerlandia celebration, sorry I didn't take many pictures, but you can check them out at the Neerlandia website:
neerlandia100.webs.com
We can be so very thankful to our Heavenly Father for being with our community and blessing us so much - it was so wonderful to have supper together with over 1000 people and to open in prayer and read the Scriptures.
