Weekend with the Grandkiddies
We had Summer and Hope for the weekend. I found my camera, which was not at Angie and Wally's (duh) and on the last day could take a couple of pictures. We had a wonderful time with the kids - we sure had fun!

I am so sorry, I have no pictures to post b/c my camera is at Angie and Wally's and they are away on holidays. Things have been pretty busy around our house - Pap is busy every day, although his two sisters, Aly and Roely and their husbands were out for 2 weeks in Neerlandia, but they stayed at Anna's place, so we visited them there and we took them out for a day - to show them Angie and Wally's place and Ciny and Richards and then we toured to Athabasca to show them where Gerry and his crew were working and what they were doing, we had supper in Westlock and then went to Laurie and Lucille's for coffee. We had a wonderful day together.
But they have left for BC to Frieda and Heres'. Gerry and Karen had family over from Holland so we spent time with them as well. And this weekend I have Angie and Wally's two youngest girls, Summer and Hope and I would have liked to have taken pictures of them, but no camera!!
Anyway, we are all still in good health, thanks be to God for all his blessings and above all for the forgiveness of sins and for His Grace. Love to you all and till next time.

The Steenbergen from Holland
We had some family from Holland for the weekend - Gerrit-Jan Steenbergen, the oldest son of Sip and Aly, with his wife and 2 children. They had travelled across the USA from Toronto and had gone to Frieda and Heres and come to Neerlandia thru the Rockies. And they were here for the weekend b/c next week they are going to Grande Prairie for the Steenbergen anniversary celebration. There are going to be 95 people there for a week - quite the party. Anyway, this is GerritJan shooting the gun - that always has to happen when someone comes from Holland.
Tobius - their son - watching his dad.
We took them to Angie and Wally to catch the beautiful view - Angie and Wally were putting up a fence at the edge of the lawn before the gully.

Cottage in LacLeNonne
This was a cottage at LacLeNonne that Pap had to install rock on - quite a cottage eh! Almost finished - Pap is on the top of the house doing the chimney. It is a three storey cottage = has been under construction for over a year. They were so happy to be finished! It is right on the lake - so below the house is a boat house as well with all pillars.

My Hobby - flowers!
Sunday Lunch Company
Also, below, was a picture of a bowl - pap bought that at another sale, it is very heavy and is made out of solid copper, also for the new addition!
New Cupboard and Beautiful Gift
Surprise!!!!!
We are still here and doing well, but just very busy lately. Pap had an incident with his eye, a tear in the retina
that had to be repaired by lazer in the city by a specialist, so we spent lots of time in waiting rooms - but we are
thankful that it could be done. His vision is still somewhat blurry in the one eye, but the specialist said that it will
take some time to clear up. The pictures above are of the cabinet that pap bought at an auction sale in Mayerthorpe -
it was pouring rain so there were not very many people there. He also bought the desk that matches this cabinet
but that was for Gerry and Karen. We cleaned the cabinet up - took lots of elbow grease as it was very very dirty,
but the result is wonderful. It is a German cabinet - built in the late 1800's - the desk and the cabinet have 4 claw
feet, which is unusual as most furniture only has claw feet in the front - mostly for show. It takes up alot of room
but it is meant for the addition (??) - eventually. The picture of the carving is a beautiful piece of art that we
received as a huge surprise from J. Mhlanga - a noble friend from South Africa. We gave the carving an honorable
place on top of the cabinet. Thank you Jerry and Thoko. You are always in our prayers.
