The Weekend Continued.......

Mom preparing food for the works!
Wally and Paul relaxing before supper!

Couple of dishes to do? No matter, check out the pictures on the camera first.

Relaxing after supper with coffee and trifle. Yum!

Heavy discussion in this corner of the table. Frieda Snijder was in Neerlandia for the weekend for her sister Anne's birthday, so she came over on Sunday night for supper too. We had a wonderful time!

More of the weekend

Guess what the kids are all doing - eating and ?
Caden wanted to eat his icecream in private, not even a quick look at the camera.

Two snoofies all dressed up and nowhere to go. Aren't those hats just the cutest?

Opa shovelling the icecream into Freddy's mouth - think he likes it?

Tristen the pirate!

Some of our Beautiful Grandchildren!

Since Tracy and Paul were over, we spent alot of time together. Here Summer is posing because she is wearing a BBS T-shirt. These T-shirts were made when we had the pallet business. Good quality or what!
Hope wanted to do what the rest of the kids were doing - dressing up!

Jayda ALWAYS dresses up when she comes over!

Morgan playing with a video game - she is 10 years old and needs some quiet time of her own. Naomi was gone to a birthday party, so Morgan was a little lonely!

Freddy looking at the grape halves on his tray and thinking, "Do you guys really think I'm going to eat these?"

Tracy and Paul were over for a long weekend

Paul unloaded the truck "white lightning" while Noah watches!!
Seth was so seriously telling Opa about his life!

Ethan all dressed up and enjoying icecream - isn't he handsome?

Seth trying out the stairs - he had to learn to go around the corner!

Don't be shy Paul - come on in!!!!!!

Betty's Volleyball Tournament

Get that ball over the net Bets! The girls had a tournament in Thorhild on a Friday and Saturday, so Paul and Tracy and the boys, Karen and the girlies and Pap and I went to her 2 last games on Friday to cheer her on! We went out for supper between the games with all the kiddies - it was lots of fun!!!! (They didn't win though)
Here Betty serves it over the net - only practice though!

Heads up girls - Betty is ready for action!

The RESULTS

The golden beef croquetten. Aren't they gorgeous? Francine and Angie made these and they are delicious!!
These are the croquetten before rolling them in the egg and crumbs! Appetizing?

The top tray are the bami ballen before we rolled them in the eggs and crumbs, they were a tad sloppy, but we managed. The bottom tray are the nasi ballen that Karen made and they were very yummy as well. We bagged them and each had some of each - will be lovely for a snack on an evening - I invite you all to come and give them a try!!!!!

These are the nasi ballen close up - YUM!!

Croquetten Day

The kiddies were passing some time watching? Guess What!!
While the little ones were doing what? Going up the scarey stairs!!

Working at the kitchen table - does it look like fun?

Caden got a gun from Auntie Karen and Uncle Gerry and was very possessive of it all day, Jayda was allowed to look at it (with her dressup gown on, which she wears the whole time, every time she comes to Omas)

Making Croquettes

The girls and I made croquettes, bami and nasi ballen today at our house - we had a beautiful day and made lots of goodies and the kiddies had fun - lots of busyness in the kitchen.
Last nite Gerry and Karen were over for supper and after supper the the kiddies were allowed on the table because Pap put Freddie in the antique lard container - he looked sooooo very cute.

Here Freddie thought he was sooooo very funny - such a cute picture eh!

More Birthday Pictures

He was so excited with his new Diego train set - he went to the playroom and closed the door - lined all his presents up in a row and called us to have a look. It was so very very cute!!!!
So much for the paper, he couldn't get it off fast enough!

After supper, Caden got his birthday present from his mom and dad - he was just ecstatic!!

After seeing Janelle wearing his carpenters apron, he thought maybe he should wear it - but it was only for a minute - he said he didn't want it. Wait till his Dad wears his one day!!!!

Caden's Happy Third Birthday

Janelle loves her Opa - sometimes from a distance and sometimes close-up. She knows exactly what she wants. She is a real energetic doll!

OK - if Caden doesn't want to wear this carpenter's pouch - I sure will! No problem!!!
Caden was thrilled to pieces with his new Black and Dekker drill - just like dad's with a flashlight.

Oh boy - I can't believe it that I got this - forget about the pouch - that is something I don't particularly care about because it is something I have to wear and I am not good with new clothes.

Opa and Oma are here with a present for me - must be for my birthday! Wonder what is in that big yellow bag!!!!!

Monday, October 19, 2009

There was a study weekend as well, and the girls were dressed up for the formal dinner. Don't they look pretty - Betty is not impressed with this picture, because her eyes are closed.
Gerry reading the paper - relaxing!

Summer's hair was all pretty and Jayda is all dressed up!!

Richard and Janelle bonding!

Ciny helping with supper - looking all joyful and pretty!

Tristen wearing a wig backwards and playing the guitar - thought he was really cool.
Wally arrived!

Opa and Freddy in heavy discussion!

Morgan did a self portrait - really good - I think!

Freddy is wondering when his food will arrive - looks pretty bare on his tray, he figures!
