Grandchildren Dressup

We had the 3 grandchildren over on Saterday - and they rumpled around in my tickle trunk and came downstairs all dressed up. I just had to share the pictures. Aren't they just beautiful?
We, Angela and her children and I were in Coaldale for a week, but of course, as usual, I forgot my camera. Isn't that just snazzy! Such a rotter to forget a camera at such a time. We had a wonderful time altogether - the kids had a great time and so did the adults. Much to be thankful for!!!

Rockjob in Whitecourt

Pap is putting real rock on a new house in Whitecourt - the picture is of the back of the house. All the pillars are rock and the deck face as well as the fireplace on the deck and the gable end. The house is almost half rock. The front of the house is getting a pile of rock too, I will take a picture of that when they are busy there. Took a picture of the girlies when we went to visit as well - they were so impressed with Opa!! Also a picture of the two helpers, Betty is the cement mixer and Jesse Van Laar is the official rock cutter. Laurie is also still helping pap. The fireplace is inside this house, pap did that this spring already, he still has to put rock on the face of the mantel. Can you imagine, there are only two people living in this house? Unreal!! I am always so proud of pap when he does this work, because he is so artistic.

Still Camping

Oma telling Summer a GREAT BIG secret!!!!
Everybody helped everybody - here Karen is feeding Janelle.

Iris having a bath and the others are lining up to go in the same water!!!

Caden playing with Benita's little girl - they are big buddies!!!

The Camping Grandkiddies

Iris Joy - her mom's big helper - just loved swimming
Freddy loved camping - he would even crawl on the gravel - he got where ever he wanted and had so much fun!

Caden had a blast camping too, he was an old hand at it since he had been camping this summer with his mom and dad and Janelle with Grandma and Grandpa.

Janelle loved the little car! She could do her own thing in there. She didn't even mind the playpen once in a while. The little ones were so good at the lake.

Jayda loved checking everything out - there were so many kids to watch and to play with. The kids sure loved the camper too and breakfast was so yummy - pancakes over an open fire and bacon and eggs - YUM YUM.

Camping with the girls at Long Island Lake

Jayda wanted to wear Oma's sunglasses!

Caden loved pushing the doll buggy while Karen was singing to him!!

Iris needed a cuddle time with Mom.

Ciny looking wiped - that's what camping does to you after a while.

Summer relaxing in her chair.

Weekend with the Grandkiddies

We had Summer and Hope for the weekend. I found my camera, which was not at Angie and Wally's (duh) and on the last day could take a couple of pictures. We had a wonderful time with the kids - we sure had fun!

Sunday, August 2, 2009

I am so sorry, I have no pictures to post b/c my camera is at Angie and Wally's and they are away on holidays. Things have been pretty busy around our house - Pap is busy every day, although his two sisters, Aly and Roely and their husbands were out for 2 weeks in Neerlandia, but they stayed at Anna's place, so we visited them there and we took them out for a day - to show them Angie and Wally's place and Ciny and Richards and then we toured to Athabasca to show them where Gerry and his crew were working and what they were doing, we had supper in Westlock and then went to Laurie and Lucille's for coffee. We had a wonderful day together.
But they have left for BC to Frieda and Heres'. Gerry and Karen had family over from Holland so we spent time with them as well. And this weekend I have Angie and Wally's two youngest girls, Summer and Hope and I would have liked to have taken pictures of them, but no camera!!
Anyway, we are all still in good health, thanks be to God for all his blessings and above all for the forgiveness of sins and for His Grace. Love to you all and till next time.
