Gerry & Karen's Addition

Darryl measuring the outside of the window on Gerry and Karen's addition. Not that I wanted to post pictures first, but I was there the other day and took a few.
This is the east side of the addition - the garage door.

The west side of the house, the door opening and window beside.

Gerry checking out the inside of the window - is it straight or crooked?

Pap inspecting the boys while they are putting on the floor!

Weston Fredrick Van Leeuwen

Congratulations, Angie and Wally with your new son! Angie was here the other day to visit Hope and Morgan and Niomi, and little Weston even opened his eyes and checked us out. He is our 21st grandchild, Tess Erica Ten Haaf is our 20th and little (big by now) Ezra Vanderveen is our 19th. We have been so richly blessed!!!!!!!!!!
Tiny Weston trying to open his eyes! Isn't he handsome?

Hope wanted to hold her baby brother, but he wasn't that eager.

Resting peacefully! What little miracles!

Proudly patting her little brother, Hope was not too pleased when mommie left, but it only lasted for a little bit. Morgan and Niomi were here too.
It sure is different with all the little people in the house - lovely and lively!!!

Another visitor!

Pap feeding little Hope - she doesn't look toooooo pleased, although she is a breeze to feed, she eats everything.
After the haircut - she sat as still as a mouse, I could tell it wasn't her first haircut.

Isn't this just priceless?

The two brats after the fact!

This is a before picture - lookn' pretty relaxed!

The Holidays are Over

When we came back from Holland we had company in the house, wonderful company! Here the company is hugging!
One of the new moms of the house!

Don't they look bratty - and they are!!

This is one of her quiet moments - isn't she sweet?

Our daughter and her hubby and the 2 grandkids were the welcoming committee when we arrived home - so no rest for the wicked? We have been enjoying each others company!

Sawing Wood for the woodstove for next year.

Sorry, these are backwards, but that is b/c I'm not that good at this! But anyway, the men decided it was a good day to saw the logs that were brought here this fall.
Here they are w/Laurie Terpsma's put-put tractor that he bought from Jimmie Jeorgsma, works like a charm. Notice Darryl working hard, Dwayne and Hen!!!!

Ome Laurie watching the boys working hard.

OK, lets get cutting - great work boys!

Pap had no arm left by the end of the day, from thowing blocks all day - I can well imagine!!

The Chicks and The Beauty of Winter

Here are the girls in Betty's class with the exception of one! Aren't they the cutest? And so young!
Another Sunday photo!

Beautiful winter - as you can see on the trees, it is quite moist - but gorgeous with all the sparkles on the trees!

Thank you Lord - for showing us your wonderful works!

Another picture of Your awesome works!

More Holland

A monument for fallen soldiers in WWII - something that pap is very interested in.
Such a cute cute place, but was completely delapitated. Sooo sad.

Mom and Tante Greta posing for the camera in front of her apartment.

Pap's last living aunt, it was so nice that we could still visit with her.

Sometimes - you just have to do what you have to do!

Our Vacation in Holland

We even did some biking, although unfortunately , not too much because it was too snowy or tooooo cold!

One of the original little typical Dutch houses that are still the way pap can remember. Beautiful!
On the market in Hardenberg. It was cold - I don't know how they set everything up in the cold. But very interesting.

Pap with his special sister, Riek. She came over for lunch on Sunday, and of course pap had to make her laugh.

This was our home for our stay in Holland and that was our vehicle. Notice the snow - very unusual! It was a perfect place for us - everything was included - bedrooms, bathroom, shower and kitchen/livingroom. And it was wonderful to spend time together and decide together what we wanted to do!!!!
