Coaldale Cartoons

Sorry about not having any pictures, but it seems when there is a picture to be taken, I don`t have my camera with me!! Typical - oh well, I`m not much of a photographer anyway.
Being here in Coaldale is sure different - seems so far away from home and I miss Pap sooooooo much. Other than that - all is well on the home front, Tracy. Just thought I`d tell you some of the things that we`ve done:

Had a picnic outside, the weather was so beautiful, only there were a few bees pestering us, and kind-of freaking the boys out, but it was fun all the same.
Attend Women`s Society with the boys - and enjoy that very much!
I`m sure the boys will be looking forward to mom`s cooking again, because Oma cooks different than mom - it doesn`t taste the same. But to compensate, we get an icecream dessert every night - sometimes milkshakes, sometimes banana splits, sometimes just plain old icecream.
The boys enjoy watching Pluto or Mickey Mouse video clips on u-tube, keeps them calm just before supper.
We do their home shared readers every day and sing the song they have to learn and Ethan does his spelling and studying other homework. (Can`t believe what they have to study already in Grade one)
Go for walks and play in the park.
Watch a movie on Friday night while Oma makes us popcorn - what a hoot! and we get to go to bed late.
Anyway, just wanted to keep you all up to date with what I`m doing - the kids are sure looking forward to mom coming home - I told them only 7 more days!! THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!!!!

Ethan - The NHL Hockey Star

Doesn`t he look fantastic - he was a bit disappointed at first, because there were kids smaller than him that could skate better than him - but I assured him that this was his first time on skates this year and that with practice, he would get just as good. So he went back on the ice, determined to do better!!!!!

Skating Party in Lethbridge

Look mom, I can do it! Does that sound familiar Tracy?
Yah, right - this was supposed to be a picture of Ethan - and this little stinker shows up again - wouldn`t you know it!

Back in Coaldale - Saturday Skating

Oops!!!!
Seth on skates - what an unbelievable little boy - he was certainly determined. Paul took the boys to Lethbridge this morning and bought an new hockey bag for Noah and a skating helmet for Seth.

Noah proudly balancing on his skates while posing for the camera!

Seth in action - such determination!!!!

Posing on the small gravel pile outside, Summer and Janelle and Jayda with her beautiful braids.
Caden savoring his icecream cone wearing his hunting cap and always Spiderman suit!!!!

Jayda looking all smart and prim!!!

The hunters proudly posing with their catch - 1 grouse. Freddie wanted to go on the picture too, even though he didn`t go along on the hunt - next year!

The four little brats - all around the same age and all just as bratty. So cute though, they all have their own little personalities. We thank our Heavenly Father for grandchildren.

Paul Arrived with the Boys

Paul arrived on Wednesday night with the boys to stay for the weekend. Tracy and baby Isaiah few to Australia to visit her sisters and she called this morning that she had arrived safely. We are very thankful to God for granting her travelling mercies. Above, Paul is gearing up for dirt biking while Seth patiently waits for his turn. The little pocket bike was a hit with all the boys.
Seth is enjoying "Spider-man" snack in the warm October sun. We were given such a beautiful sunny day - which we all enjoyed.

Angie and the kids came over for lunch - since there is teachers' convention, there is school holidays until Tuesday - lucky!!!

Ethan taking the scooter for a spin!

Tine en Jan's Visit

We had a barbeque along the river at a quiet spot - to get there was quite a drive along a rough path - but we made it. It was a gorgeous evening - and we could enjoy the beautiful sunset painted by our Heavenly Father.
Gerry managed to start a fire the old fashioned way - so we could roast some sausages!

Getting the fire started with some dry grass, leaves and small twigs.

All the Breukelman men and their spouses and children were over for lunch on Sunday to visit with Tine and Jan.

A view of the deck - lots of sun and friends.

Jan en Tine op Bezoek

Tine showing us her needles for sugar diabities. We had a very enjoyable time with them and sincerely hope they enjoyed it too.
Look-out point over the river near the gravel pit.

Gorgeous view of the fall leaves off of the ferry - awe inspiring! God's creation is awesome!

Went to visit Freek at work!

Babysitting for a Weekend

It was such beautiful weather - here the kiddies are all enjoying a freezie. Yum Hopie!
They were all blowing bubbles - but it didn't last long, because the bubble-stuff was knocked over.

Betty Turns 18

Everyone was over for supper for Betty's big birthday and as usual, had great discussions as well.
Everybody sure looks happy, don't they - for a party?

Caden wanted his picture taken so badly - this is his pose!
