Mom checking to see if everything is going good - ja right, actually so very interested in how it's going!

Trying a rock, fitting, chiselling, knocking a small piece off, rounding, trying for fit again..............yes! It fits!

Pap in with the huddle - what's next?

Finished, now for the finish grout and cleaning - that's at least something I can help with!

The finished product - thanks a pile Gerry for the ideas and for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There it is! Now for the next project........the fireplace. Getting there, it just all takes time! So thankful that we can do this, that we have been granted good health and that we have been given the time!

Finished The Wall in the New Livingroom

Here Fred is up on the scaffold installing the rock on the wall. He chiselled all the rock with a huge hammer and chisel - sometimes he got 4 slices out of one rock - makes it go alot further. So proud of him!!!!

This is the entrance to the addition, one side of it. He used whole rock for these. The windows we've had in the house for quite a few years, bought them once in Edmonton at a window place, someone had ordered them but never picked them up, so we bought them for a really good deal - now they came in handy!

The finished product - so exciting!!!!

One Side Finished

Here is a finished product of one side of the entrance to the addition - Pap is making one just like this on the other side.  It's actually really fun to do this together.

January 2012

Blessed 2012 to everyone who enjoys or doesn't enjoy (but checks anyway).  We thank our God in Heaven for taking care of us in 2011 - and pray that He will bless and guide us in 2012 for without His blessing, we have nothing!
Here is Pap with the miracle of 2011 - little Leanna who was born 10 weeks early and was as small as my hand - and look at her now at 7 months old - how can we not be thankful - Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
A picture of my hero in 2012 - his bark is worse than his bite - he has a big heart and is my love!
Here is my man at work in our addition - kind of big rock, talk about heavy, that's what keeps us young.
Half the result of his labour.  I'm so thankful that he has time to do this work during the winter, it's also a real hobby!

Christmas 2011

Christmas 2011 - seems like such a while ago already - there was still a bit of snow then and it was a bit chilly but sunny - gorgeous Christmas weather.  Paul and Tracy and the four boys were out for Christmas - we had a very very nice time together, we are so thankful to our Heavenly Father for making this all possible.  Above, the grandsons are all geared up to go on a hiking, hunting trip with Opa across the creek in the bush.  I had prepared a little lunch for them, some hotdogs and buns and drinks.  While they were in the bush, the boys gathered some sticks and Opa started a fire and they had a weiner roast out there.  That made up for the fact that they didn't see any wildlife - too bad.  But they were all rosy and happy when they were home again!!!!!!!!
Here is Freddy - he wanted to be a lion just like his Opa - hair all over!!!!  Not a bad match eh!
More renovations in our house - here Gerry has a 21" x 8" beam on his back along with Paul and Pap - getting it into place.  I was in the backround - hesitant about it all and not sure if he could hold it.  But the beam was indeed put in place - so proud of our guys!!!!
