Our Miracle Baby - Leanna May Schouten!

Welcome to the outside world Leanna May - you have been created by the Great Creator - and He has made you perfect in every way - as He has chosen! We are so thankful for His mercy and so thankful for His care over you - you are such a blessing to this world! It is such a comfort to know that you are in His care every second of the day!
I wanted to post this picture of my hand beside her so you could get an idea of how tiny she really is - and her eyes were even open!

Presenting Miss Leanna May!

Doesn't she look soooooooo cuddly? Thank you Lord, for such a gift of life!

Took Caden and Janelle to see mom and baby sister in the hospital (hostipal, they call it) and they were so very excited - it seemed to take forever to get there. They couldn't believe how small she was - too small for Caden, but Janelle could have crawled in the incubator if she could have, "she's just like my doll" she said. And of course, they were happy to see mom and where she was staying, at least now they know when we say that mom is in the city! It was so cute how excited they were!

Leanna May Schouten - 25th Grandchild

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward."
Richard and Francine were blessed with a brand new little baby girl - 10 weeks early - weighing in at 3 lbs. 1 oz. We have therefore been blessed with our 25th grandchild. What a miracle!! We thank our heavenly Father for His mercy shown to us all. Mother and baby are doing as well as can be expected, little Leanna May is in Edmonton in the Gray Nuns Hospital in the ICU neo-natal ward where she is receiving the best care. We're so anxious to see her - tomorrow! I will update you on our newest arrival!

More Windows!!

Last week Saterday, a bunch of men (Gerry, David, Ben, Richard and Wally) all came over to install windows in the addition and change windows in the existing house - thankyou so much guys for all your love labour - it was very much appreciated. Here Weston had to check out the new window in the kitchen - the window was placed where the new sink will eventually go - when we renovate the kitchen.

The north side of the house where the TV room got a new window, the laundry room and the basement, also the kitchen and the living room, which eventually will become the bathroom. Freek took all the wood siding off, because this summer we are going to stucco the house, while Freek is planning to finish bricking the south and west side of the house. So things are going to be pretty busy here this summer.

Betty - the old west window was replaced by a beautiful new window too, you room sure is alot brighter for some reason.

This is also the north side of the house - kind of messy look eh?

This is the north side of the addition - there are windows above the new windows yet, but they are still on order at the Co-op, coming soon!!!!!

So there - that is the extent of it - we have very much to be thankful for - I wouldn't have believed it 10 years ago, and now it is happening. We have indeed been blessed, not only materially but spiritually too.

Guess What? New windows!!

These are the new windows in the addition - facing west!!

This is the addition - facing south, the plywood and opening is for the garden doors.

Oh sorry - this is a closeup!

This is the window in the new addition above the garden doors! Lookn' good!

Betty - this is the new window in your bedroom - it can open and has a screen - lovely!

Finally Back - and how?

My darling hubbie - isn't he stunningly handsome? I just love this picture - he was posing for the grandkiddies I was babysitting - they weren't even afraid..........well, kindof........

Weston wanted to copy Opa - but just for a minute and since it took awhile for me to get the camera out again - Freek had to hold his hands so he wouldn't take them off. Isn't he darling?

Hope was so busy in the tickle-trunk and finally came up with the wedding dress , so we gave her the mother's day flowers to finish the look, she was kind of shy about the picture though!

Oh Hope, you look ready for the big day - kind of excited and kind of nervous - but don't worry honey - you look wonderful!!!!!!!! doesn't she?

SPRING IS IN THE AIR!

I am so sorry, all who check my blog - but I cannot add images right now, I have been trying for some time, but it keeps cutting out - sorry about that! I know how excited I am when I check someone's blog and see new pictures, but it is just not to be for me.
Nonetheless, we have very much to be thankful for - spring is in the air, despite it being cool and the snow that we had recently. God has promised in His Word that we will have the seasons - at His time - we must be patient and wait for Him.
Just would like to say hello to you all and we will continue trying!!
Love to you all!

FINALLY!!!

Well, well, well today Fred and I checked out all the blogs, enjoyed all the pictures and it inspired me to post on ours, even though there isn't much news here. We have been home now for just over two weeks and are actually still in holiday mode. There is alot of snow here yet and the weather has been a tad cool yet. Not to complain, mind you, we are in good health and eagerly looking forward to spring. We have been doing things together everyday since BBS hasn't really started up yet - there are some inside jobs, but they are waiting for the rock. There is quite a bit of work lined up, but the snow is kindof in the way! We did buy a newer vehicle, another jeep - 2005. We both feel like a million dollars in it. The old jeep was sighing and complaining, so instead of putting more money into it, as it had 350,000 kilometers on it, we decided it was best to go newer. We are very thankful that we have the means to do this. The addition is at a standstill as we are waiting for the completion of the windows - and that's OK, we're not in a hurry. Other than that - we're enjoying each other every day, because once spring arrives, Freek will be very very busy. Oh, and I did plant some flower seeds and they are coming up nicely. For the rest, we are thankful to our Heavenly Father for each day that He gives us and for being with our children and grandchildren. We are indeed very blessed.
