Starting to skin the steer!
Still skinning - I actually helped pap skin - the first time ever in my life. It actually was fun if you can believe that.
Done - now cutting it in half with the bone saw. It took us 2 -1/2 hours - then it was hanging in the cooler. I'll do that again!

Mom, what is this guy doing commenting on your blog??
Anyways, looks like a huge job!! And the weather looks so wonderful, wish we could be there. Eric asked since Pap was so excited for you to be home, he wanted to kill the fatted calf?! Your pots look really nice too, what a surprise that was. And how in the world did they get that picnic table to you? It must weigh a ton! Any ay we could get one here???? It's nice to see that you are happy to be home, although we do miss you here. But as the saying goes, there's no place like home!! :)

Love the water pump looks really good there and the flower beds I bet were so nice to come home to. wish you were still here with papa and so we can only wait until next time and we are already looking forward to that even though we know it won;t be for sometime. But love that picnic table and bet yous will get heaps of use out of it!!!!!Love you always
Hmmm..about the fatted calf! That sucker is one big calf! So glad to see your blog updated...and that you are home again. Ang.
Welcome HOME again!!! It looks like you had a wonderful time with the children and grandchildren downunder. It is a great blessing to be able to do that. We are thankful that you were granted safe traveling mercies to be home with your hubby again...I'm sure he was sooo happy to see his wife back with him again. Hence the fatted calf! What a big job hey? Like Iris kept reminding him...when is your wife coming back??? Cute. This week we get to enjoy the company of Gerrick and Marian and kiddies then off to Ontario...family reunion. Busy...busy!!!! But lovin every minute of it.
Oh and I'm sure Fred got the hugest hug in the world for the wonderful flowerbeds...they look great and the water pump is sooo cool...I love it. I think I have the baby of it here.
