Weekend at Tracy & Paul's

Paul grouting his fireplace - it turned out beautiful - they were very happy and we were happy that we were there and that Pap could do that for them. We had a very enjoyable time!!!!
Seth wanted to help Opa too - so he got a ride in one of the rock boxes.

The weekend workers! So very cute! All helping hands make work light!

This is the fireplace after it was papered, wired and scratched. The boys were very excited to help Opa.

Gerry's house from far away, as you can see there is lots of snow yet, but a little melts every beautiful day!

Gerry & Karen's house

Well, don't they look like they're working hard. Pap and Grant posing for a photo, have to have some fun! Grant is working there today cutting the tin for the roof and bringing it up with the genielift. Since we have been blessed with such wonderful weather, the more helping hands the better.
Kyle Dejong is also working today - here Ben and Kyle are installing plywood in the playroom, Kyle is also cutting out one of the windows. The playroom and the bedroom walls are all going to be stucco, so that goes quite fast.

This is a view of the south side of the addition. The two large windows show into the playroom, if you look closely, you can see that the ceiling is already finished, stained and varnished. The dark lines on the ceiling are the beams.
Here Grant is preparing to cut some tin. The two triangle windows above are showing into Gerry & Karen's new bedroom - they will be sleeping pretty high and will have a tremendous view of the creek and forest.

Here are the two managers, Pap and Darryl - making sure everyone else is keeping busy. Actually, they were having a discussion about what to do in regards to the taking the tin off the original house - that is quite a job too - they only have to take it off where the new roof is going to be tying in to the old. Anyway - they are warming their backs in the process of their discussion.

Here you see Gerry and David (from afar) on the roof installing the tin that Grant is handing them with the genielift. This is the east side of the house, the large opening is the garage, so they will have to make a new driveway as well.

It's March 1st already, where does the time go! I've been busy 'spring' cleaning, even though it isn't spring, it is a tad early, but I have been cleaning up - a person tends to create clutter and then so once in a while, you just have to hit the reality button and check out the clutter and reorganize. And then let out a sigh of relief when you're finished. I am a bit of a procrastinator, so when a job is delayed for some time for whatever reason and then finally completed, it is a relief and you wonder why you didn't complete the job before. Anyway - Gerry and Karen will be moving in this week for a while because their house is being renovated/added on, so it is nice that at least that task is out of the way!
